Public Examinations 2009

The school is delighted,  that following the release of the ‘official’ public examination results and league tables , we are categorised as the 8th top Comprehensive school in the country in “The Times”, (14-1-10) based on our GCSE results.  We are also the top school in London Borough of Havering for both the highest pass rate including Maths & English, and for CVA,  (Contextualised Value-Added).

Our ‘A’ Level results place us top in the Borough for APS, (Average Point Score),  for both overall results and per student entry placing us 29th in the top 100 schools, (including Grammar schools), in “The Telegraph” .

My congratulations  goes to all our 2009 successful examination candidates, and my appreciation for their dedication and hard work goes to their teachers and support staff.

Bright Young Things, Real Cool Futures

Natalie Kuruppuarachchi (8T) entered an art competition entitled 'Bright Young Things, Real Cool Futures' that she had seen on the 'Young, Gifted and Talented' website. Competitors had to create a piece of art to represent their view of what the future would look like. Hundreds of young people entered the competition and Natalie's work 'My Dream', along with the work of two others, was chosen by a panel of judges to be displayed at an exhibition at the Eden Project. The photo shows Natalie, her work and Sam Kendall who coordinated the competition. Well done Natalie.
