ICT in the Curriculum

Years 7, 8 and 9

Pupils are taught mainly in their form groups for one double (100 minutes) period a fortnight throughout the whole year.  The groups are mixed ability and number from 20-23 pupils.  Each pupil has their own computer.  Pupils are taught in either rooms A1, A12, A13 or BE1. In addition rooms F4 and F5 are used in the new sixth form block as Business Studies rooms with workstations also connected to the school network. Since September 2008, year 8/9 students have followed the AQA Enterprise & Employability (level 1/2) course. This provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve a recognised formal qualification at the end of year 9.
